The on-site observation seminar of Zhongke Leymus chinensis was successfully held in Dongying, Shandong!

At the seminar, Wang Chengwu, chairman of Shandong Dairy Association, made a simple analysis of the current roughage supply situation, and pointed out that with the increase of enterprises around Shandong and the expansion of animal husbandry groups, it is imperative to accelerate the breeding and promotion of Leymus chinensis in Shandong.

Peng Wenbo, the chairman of Horun (Dongying) Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., provided an overview of the current planting status of Leymus chinensis. After two years of development, over 2000 mu of Leymus chinensis have been cultivated. Beyond serving as direct forage, Leymus chinensis can also undergo further processing to produce various high-quality feed forms. Moreover, due to its robust root and stem penetration, Leymus chinensis plays a significant role in soil stabilization and serves as an effective plant for water and soil conservation. Chairman Peng Wenbo expresses full confidence in the future breeding and promotion of Leymus chinensis.

The Shandong Dairy Association has actively engaged in promoting, breeding, and disseminating information about Leymus chinensis since its inception in Shandong.

The industrialization of Leymus chinensis in Shandong has begun to take shape and is expected to gradually develop a complete industrial chain encompassing seed breeding, cultivation, technology, management, processing, and sales in the future.

Ms. Zhang Hong, Deputy General Manager of Qingdao CTC Feed Co., Ltd., conducted a brief analysis of the prospects for Chinese Leymus chinensis based on experience with imported forage and various indicators of Chinese Leymus chinensis. She shared insights gained from working with imported forage:

By comparing data, all key indicators of Leymus chinensis have met the standards of imported forage. The high-standard cultivation of Leymus chinensis has played a pivotal role in achieving the localization of high-quality forage.

During this seminar, participating leaders and enterprise representatives raised pertinent issues and engaged in discussions regarding the breeding and promotion of Leymus chinensis. The exchange of experiences among enterprises will facilitate targeted adjustments to work strategies and address relevant challenges in the upcoming stages of Leymus chinensis promotion.
